India’s BJSPL pipeline will create 20,000 jobs

The Jammu and Kashmir government has claimed that the Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar natural gas pipeline (BJSPL) project will create thousands of jobs for locals.

"The project will create over 20,000 jobs for the unemployed youth of the state besides attracting investments which will help in the overall economic growth of the state", Adviser, BJSPL project, Abdul Hamid said.

GSPL India Gasnet Ltd is laying the Bathinda-Jammu-Srinagar natural gas pipeline in the Jammu and Kashmir state, India. The gas pipeline project will provide natural gas connectivity to Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag, and Srinagar districts.

The job creation estimation was announced during a day-long awareness camp held by the District Administration, Kathua, for various villages whose land will accommodate the pipeline.
