BDK gain approval in Kuwait

BDK™, one of India’s longest established valve manufacturers and part of Weir Flow Control, has today announced that they have now gained approval for a number of valve product ranges by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) which extends their product offering.
This week, KOC granted approval for the inclusion of the BDK Ball, Plug and Butterfly valve ranges within their processes. This approval comes as a result of the BDK team’s commitment to work with prestigious customers that demand the highest of quality and stringent manufacturing processes.
BDK Product Director, Brett Armer had this to say; “This extension of our approvals with Kuwait Oil Company further demonstrates that our products and processes are in line with our global customer base’s strict product and factory supplier validation criteria. We continue to develop key end-user and operator approval for our products, we’re delighted that KOC has approved our product ranges and are excited by the opportunities that will come from it.”

When the tanks are full, the liquefied carbon dioxide will be loaded onto a dedicated carrier from Royal Wagenborg and shipped to the INEOS Nini platform in the Danish North Sea. From there, it will be safely injected via pipeline into subsurface reservoirs approximately 1800 m beneath the seabed for permanent storage.
