Ashtead Technology has received further endorsement from the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) for its range of calibration services.

This latest approval covers the delivery of calibration services for ultrasonic testing equipment used by non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection companies.

UKAS assesses a laboratory’s calibration and measurement capability to produce precise and accurate test results by scrutinising the technical competence of staff, the validity of the test methods, and equipment used through a vigorous audit and validation process.

From its laboratory in Aberdeen, Ashtead provides calibration services to the internationally recognised UKAS standard 17025. All calibrations are carried out by qualified, trained engineers in accordance with all major equipment manufacturer specifications.

Allan Pirie, Chief Executive of Ashtead Technology said: “We are committed to delivering calibration and repair services for a wide range of instruments which are crucial to our customer’s operations. This further endorsement from UKAS assures our customers that both our and their equipment is calibrated to the highest industry standard.”

UKAS is the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom, appointed by government, to assess organisations that provide inspection, testing and calibration services.
