HEP solicits interest for Webb County Hub

World Pipelines,

Howard Midstream Energy Partners, LLC (HEP) announced that it is soliciting non-binding indications of interest from shippers for access to 1.12 billion ft3/d of natural gas hub services on its existing assets located in Webb County, Texas (Webb County Hub).

Additionally, Impulsora Pipeline, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HEP, was recently issued a Presidential Permit by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and plans to construct a new 36 in. pipeline to interconnect HEP’s Webb County Hub with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad’s Colombia-Escobedo project (Colombia), providing customers with direct export access to Mexico.

HEP is accepting indications of interest for the new hub services and the export of natural gas to Mexico via the proposed Colombia interconnect from 21 May to 12 June, 2015.

The Webb County Hub includes HEP’s existing 285 miles of pipeline, 200 million ft3/d cryogenic processing plant tailgate, and more than 360 million ft3/d of local production. The new hub services will connect domestic supply sources, including Agua Dulce, Houston Ship Channel, Katy, local production, and processing plant tailgates, via interconnects to existing intrastate markets and markets in Mexico. A map of the Webb County Hub and Impulsora’s proposed Colombia interconnect can be found here.

“These new hub services on our Webb County system and the proposed Colombia interconnect leverage the strategic location of our existing assets to create new markets for South Texas gas and cross-border partnerships that will significantly reduce energy costs for Mexican consumers,” said Brandon Seale, president of Howard Energy Mexico.
