Keynote speakers revealed for the EAGC

Deputy Chairman of Gazprom, Alexander Medvedev, will deliver a keynote address at the 31st European Autumn Gas Conference (EAGC), which runs form 14 - 16 November in The Hague. Medvedev will focus his talk on Russian proximity and pricing.

Marjan van Loon, President and Director of Shell Netherlands will also speak at the conference, alongside senior executives from Statoil, ENGIE, Uniper, RWE, BP, WINGAS GmbH, Cheniere, GasTerra, Total, Iberdrola, Gasunie, ACER, KVGN and Nord Stream 2.

Meeting in Paris

On 14 September, Alexey Miller (Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee) attended talks with Jean-Bernard Levy (Chairman and CEO of EDF) and Gerard Mestrallet (Chairman of the board of directors of ENGIE) in Paris. The talks centred around the potential of creating new routes for Russian gas exports to Europe due to the resumed TurkStream project with BOTAS.

Meeting in Budapest

A meeting was held in Budapest on 9 September for European Commission officials. The European Commission’s Vice President for Energy Union (Maroš Šefcovic), Energy Commissioner (Miguel Arias Cañete) and the Energy Ministers of 12 EU and Energy Community countries in Europe gathered to share updates on the progress of the European Commission Initiative on the Central and South-Eastern European Gas Connectivity (CESEC).

At this meeting, the Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria (BRUA) connecting Europe facility grant agreement for €179 million, was signed. Moreover, Government representatives and transmission system operators (TSOs) from Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary signed joint statements for cooperation on gas projects along the Vertical Corridor.
