Ashtead showcases subsea technology

Hosted at the company’s purpose built facility in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, the event welcomed more than 140 industry peers to highlight the latest tools, products and services from leading subsea manufacturers.
Ashtead welcomed representatives from world-leading manufacturers including iXblue, Kongsberg, Sonardyne and Teledyne Marine, who showcased their technologies and discussed how they are supporting the subsea industry in meeting the challenges of increasingly complex projects.
Allan Pirie, Chief Executive of Ashtead said: “Our Technology Showcase highlights the latest subsea solutions and brings together like-minded industry peers to discuss how we can work together to ensure underwater projects are as cost efficient as possible.”
Nick Lawrence, Director of EdgeTech, commented: “It’s a great event to present the latest technology to a targeted audience. Those who attend were already very knowledgeable about our offerings, so we were able to speak on a very technical level and look at how we can support their operations going forward.”

Attendees also had the opportunity to tour Ashtead’s state-of-the-art calibration laboratory and learn about the company’s range of autonomous measurement solutions, UKAS calibration laboratory and value-added services.
Ashtead Technology recent announced it has signed a five-year global collaboration agreement with Technical Software Consultants Limited (TSC), part of Eddyfi Technologies, for its Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM®) instruments. The agreement will see Ashtead Technology combine TSC’s ACFM® equipment with its own rental fleet and manage all rental activity worldwide for the Amigo™ and U31™ subsea systems, as well as the latest PACE® instrumentation.

When the tanks are full, the liquefied carbon dioxide will be loaded onto a dedicated carrier from Royal Wagenborg and shipped to the INEOS Nini platform in the Danish North Sea. From there, it will be safely injected via pipeline into subsurface reservoirs approximately 1800 m beneath the seabed for permanent storage.
