ecorpStim welcomes Baylor College of Medicine to consortium

eCORP Stimulation Technologies, LLC (ecorpStim) has announced the addition of the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, to ecorpStim’s clean shale stimulation research and development consortium.

Physicians and scientists at Baylor College of Medicine will assist the research team, which includes scientists at neighboring Rice University, the Energy Safety Research Institute and Swansea University, UK, and University of Grenoble, France, in evaluating and furthering developments in delivery of ecorpStim's non-water, chemical-free stimulation technologies.

Paul Klotman, President and CEO of Baylor College of Medicine, commented: "We are pleased to participate in this project to make the harvesting of shale hydrocarbons environmentally sustainable and safe to humans."

John Francis Thrash, CEO of ecorpStim, added: "The environmental safeguards being developed by the ecorpStim consortium can make it possible to achieve the beneficial effects from shale gas production ecologically and economically. We are very pleased to have Baylor College of Medicine join the consortium in these pursuits."
