Turkish company to construct pipeline for Exxon Mobil in Iraq

Turkish construction firm EID Insaat is to build a 120 km pipeline for ExxonMobil in Iraq. The project, which will take approximately one year to complete, will cost US$ 90 million.

According to EID Insaat Chairman Bora Can Yildiz, the pipeline is an advanced engineering and construction project that is used for drilling oil via high water pressure.

Yildiz said, "This is a privilege to carry out a project for ExxonMobil, who ranked second in energy sector of the world. We won the project with our foreign partner. We completed the contract and technical procedures. There is also a 85 km long pipeline project under construction. The two pipelines will be more than 200 km long.

The Iraqi marker accounts for 70% of the business volume of EID Insaat, which has operations in the energy and construction sectors in the Middle East and Russia.
