World Pipelines,
As part of a strategy to develop an NDT Centre of Excellence, Ashtead Technology has recruited a highly experienced NDT practitioner. Alison Glover joins the business as NDT Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for NDT and industrial remote visual inspection applications throughout Scotland.
Ashtead’s James Carlyle says: “Alison is highly qualified and has a wealth of experience in test and inspection so she is a valuable addition to the team. We recently invested over £1 million in NDT instrumentation, so it is important that we also invest in technical resources, because we aim to develop partnerships with our customers; providing them with access to the latest technology and helping to ensure that the most appropriate equipment is selected and configured for each application.”
Alison joins Ashtead Technology from Lavender International where she worked as a qualified trainer in Advanced UT teaching Phased Array UT and TOFD (Time of Flight Diffraction). Prior to that she worked for several years at Olympus NDT, first in Australia and New Zealand and then in Europe, providing technical and applications support for advanced instruments such as the Omniscan flaw detectors. Alison has also worked in scientific research at British Aerospace and at the National Institute for Medical Research, and has an honours degree in Physics and a Masters in Technology Management.
