World Pipelines,
Kinder Morgan has begun receiving Powder River Basin volumes into its Double H pipeline system. This has been achieved by a new connection – constructed near Douglas, Wyoming – with the purpose for crude oil transportation to Guernsey, Wyoming. As a result, this increases its capacity to 99 000 bpd.
The project has been possible due to a successful open season on the local Double H pipeline and the Hiland/Pony Express systems.
“We are pleased to provide service to Powder River Basin producers with efficient pipeline access to attractive markets while increasing the total system capacity on Double H,” said Don Lindley, President of Natural Gas Liquids, Products Pipelines for KMI.
“The system has the capability to be expanded further, and we will continue to pursue additional growth opportunities in the Bakken and the Powder River Basin.”
