World Pipelines,
On 11 August, Pemex – a Mexican oil giant – had an incident with its gas pipeline where five people have died.
It has been stated by Petróleos Mexicanos that, when using machinery, workers had accidentally cut through the gas pipeline, resulting in a fire and explosion.
Another explanation offered has been individuals attempting to illegally tap the pipeline, which could have resulted in the accident.
