Energy Transfer Partners announces senior note pricing

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. has recently announced the pricing of US$600 million aggregate principal amount of its 4.20% senior notes due in 2027 and US$900 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.30% senior notes due 2047. The notes will be at a price to the public of 99.786% and 99.483% (respectively) of their face value.
The sale of Energy Transfer’s senior notes is expected to settle on 17 January 2017, subject to customary closing conditions.
Energy Transfer Partners intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, of approximately US$1.48 billion, to re-finance current maturities and to repay borrowings outstanding under its revolving credit facility.
Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and TD Securities (USA) LLC are acting as joint book-runners for the offering.
