The First Minister said: “As an international oil and gas exporter, Scotland is undeniably a main player and we are well renowned for our expertise and knowledge in this field. We only have to look at the latest increase in international sales by Scotland’s oil and gas supply chain – up 22% in 2012 - 2013, to £10 billion. That is phenomenal and only increases our well established global reputation.

“It’s great to see an innovative company like Pipelines 2 Data continuing to grow and internationalise, and take full advantage of the major opportunities in the oil and gas supply chain. By developing new and unique products, this is a firm which is working with some of the industry’s biggest firms and helping them refine their business practices.

“Through our agencies, the Scottish Government is committed to working closely with companies such as Pipelines 2 Data to help them achieve their ambitions and full potential, and I’m delighted to be officially opening their new headquarters in the hope this will help them on their way to greater success.”

P2D Managing Director, Steve Mayo, commented: “We are really proud of the high quality services we provide that ensure the optimum health of pipelines across the oil and gas industry, with constant development, ground-breaking new technologies and expertise at the heart of everything we do.

“With our growing international profile, it is absolutely essential that we have a first class HQ to support global operations, something which we have spent a long time perfecting to the highest possible standards. With all this in mind, it’s a huge honour for the entire P2D team to have our achievements recognised by the First Minister and the various agencies within the Scottish Government.”
