Gazprom and Eni address gas supplies
Milan hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Operating Officer of Eni.
The parties addressed the cooperation in the gas sector as well as Russian gas supplies to Europe, particularly to Italy. Alexey Miller and Claudio Descalzi paid attention to the Turkish Stream project and the future capacity creep at the Blue Stream gas pipeline.
Background
Eni is a global energy company represented in oil and gas sectors, power generation and sales, petrochemistry, service and engineering support to oil fields.
Italy is the third consumer of Russian gas behind Germany and Turkey and the second – in the EU. Gazprom supplied Italy with 21.7 billion m3 of natural gas in 2014.
Eni was Gazprom’s major partner within the Blue Stream construction project.
