World Pipelines,
AS-Schneider has been awarded the Good Design Award 2015. The specialist for industrial valves has received the award for the high-quality design of its double block and bleed pipeline ball valves of the Taurus Series. These valves are used mainly in the oil and gas industry as well as the chemical and petrochemical industry.
The Good Design Award is the world's oldest award for industrial design. It is awarded annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture, Art and Design. For the 65th anniversary of the coveted award, applications from 47 countries were received. The experts of the jury made their selection based on several thousand proposals – the Taurus Series completely convinced them.
For support, AS-Schneider took the design company Design Tech on board, which specialises in machine design. "With the equally innovative and functional design concept, we succeeded in reproducing the properties of the Taurus Series perfectly - high quality, reliability and efficiency. We are pleased about the award, because with it, the joint efforts of all the AS-Schneider employees who are involved in the development, manufacturing and service are acknowledged", explains Rolf Kummer, Managing Director of AS-Schneider Group.
