Penspen makes new appointments

Positioning itself to grow in size and scope in order to better serve its clients across the Energy industry, Penspen is pleased to announce the addition of two high profile new appointments to its Executive Committee.

Caroline Brown has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the efficient operation of Penspen’s global operations across Europe and Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and The Americas.

With executive experience across the energy, technology and professional services sectors, Caroline has managed FTSE100 and rapidly growing companies as an executive director of Petrofac Energy Developments, Gulf Keystone Petroleum, and KBC. She has a background in energy corporate finance with blue-chip banks including Merrill Lynch, UBS and HSBC and is an experienced non-executive director with companies including WSP Group plc, Bridge Energy ASA and Intelligent Energy plc. Dr Brown holds a First Class degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, a Masters of Business Administration from the Cass Business School, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and, a Chartered Director and Member of the Institute of Directors.

Her experience in managing and growing global energy and professional services businesses will be very valuable to the company as we implement our ambitious growth plans in our 60th anniversary year.”

Neale Carter has taken on the role of Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing and is responsible for Penspen’s global business development, marketing communications, strategy and planning. With a strong track record in oil and gas services executive management, sales, marketing and operations, he joins Penspen from Weatherford Ltd where he was Head of Global Sales responsible for the development of sales capability and performance for over 120 product lines and 110 countries.

Prior to his time at Weatherford, Neale spent over five years in global oilfield services executive management as the Chief Executive Officer of Tendeka and Sensornet, and four years in sales, marketing and operations management with Easywell, and Weatherford. He began his career as a testing field engineer for Schlumberger, where he held a number of operations and management positions and has over twenty three years’ experience in the energy industry. Neale holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Robert Gordon’s University.
