Burns & McDonnell’s new Pipeline Project Manager

Denys Stavnychyi has joined Burns & McDonnell in Houston as a pipeline project manager. A mechanical engineer and native of Ukraine, Stavnychyi brings an extensive 19 year resume of long-haul pipeline project experience including design and construction management. His resume includes multiple large, high-pressure pipeline construction projects both internationally and within the US.

He has held both engineering and project management roles including liquid and gas pipeline operations, design and construction on interstate and intrastate transmission projects, FERC 7(c) application projects, safety enhancement and modernisation/replacement programmes.

Stavnychyi has led teams on some of the largest pipeline projects in the industry

Most recently, he has led a FERC-regulated, 500 mile natural gas pipeline project in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Stavnychyi led a large team of engineers, pipeline designers and GIS analysts on this successful multi-billion-dollar, 36 in. pipeline system project. In addition, he has led projects for Pacific Gas & Electric, BP, Enterprise Products, Arendal / Gasoductos Mexicanos De C.V., Kinder Morgan and MarkWest Energy.

Stavnychyi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Ivano-Frankivsk State Technical University of Oil and Gas. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian languages.
