World Pipelines,
A working meeting has been held between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Han Fennema, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Gasunie. The meeting took place on 4 October at the sixth St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
During the meeting, the parties commended the successful co-operation within the Nord Stream gas pipeline project. From 1 January until October 2016, gas deliveries via the pipeline totalled 32 billion m3, 13% higher than in the same period in 2015.
It was also noted that in the light of declining production in European countries and with steadily growing Russian gas imports, it was relevant and important to build new gas pipelines to ensure reliable gas supplies from Russia to Europe.
