Discover the latest in tube and pipeline inspection at Materials Testing 2019 which takes place from 3 - 5 September in Telford, UK.

Visitors can see the very latest inspection techniques at Materials Testing 2019 which takes place from 3 - 5 September in Telford, UK. The biennial event is the world’s most comprehensive exhibition of its type and is free to attend.

The event will feature over 70 exhibitors plus a wide range of seminars and practical workshops, and will run alongside the NDT 2019 conference. Both are organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).

Amongst those taking part is the UK Research Centre for NDE (RCNDE), which will be showcasing ‘ready to go’ technologies at its exhibition stand and at the conference. Its Director, Professor Robert Smith, believes NDT is the ‘unsung hero’ of the modern world. Not only has it helped to improve safety in industries including air travel, but it will help make greener air, land and sea travel possible and affordable in the future.

“NDT increases confidence in structural design, allowing lighter-weight structures, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions,” says Professor Smith.

“NDT brings cost and performance benefits throughout the lifecycle of any component that has to perform a structural role for a given, defined lifetime.”

Materials Testing 2019 is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September and from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm on Thursday 5 September and takes place at the International Centre in Telford.
