A customer-specific pump package built by
Geveke onboard an FPSO.Nikkiso Co., Ltd, the Tokyo-based publicly listed manufacturer of fluid control technologies, has acquired Geveke BV, the Dutch sales company and system integrator of industrial pumps and compressors as a strategic investment.
Nikkiso is driving its presence in the global oil and gas market, together with its German subsidiary Lewa GmbH, the manufacturer of metering and process pumps, metering devices and complete systems for fluid metering.
Geveke BV and its group companies are organised into the following divisions: Pumps, Compressed Air, and Technical Solutions, the latter of which comprises components and modules for building management technology. With Geveke becoming a member of the Nikkiso group, Lewa-Nikkiso intends to expand its share in the international oil and gas business. Geveke will retain its divisions and the management team in their present form.
Geveke’s pumping prowess
The particular strength of Geveke is the design and delivery of integrated systems with pumps and compressors.
Geveke’s customer base includes many large and leading conglomerates in the oil and chemical industry. Geveke’s systems are used both onshore and offshore in preparation facilities, for chemical injection in enhanced oil recovery (EOR), or for local nitrogen generation.
The combination of the leading pump and system technology of Lewa-Nikkiso with Geveke’s competence in customer-specific system design will create additional powerful solutions.
Compressor systems
The product and service range will also extend to customers in the compressor systems segment, adding to the Nikkiso portfolio. Synergistic effects and growth are expected in many end markets, including the oil and gas sector and the process industry. There is particular potential in the support of British, Danish, African and South Korean shipbuilders.
