World Pipelines,
The National Energy Board (NEB) wishes to provide clarity for Canadians regarding the Nova Gas Transmission Ltd. Towerbirch expansion project.
An inadvertent web posting by the NEB on Friday 23 December indicated that the NEB had issued a certificate for the project. However, the Governor in Council did not direct the NEB to issue a certificate in respect of the pipeline.
Governor in Council Order No. P.C. 2016-1162 (16 December 2016) extended the timeline for a decision on the Towerbirch expansion project by three months but did not direct the NEB to issue a certificate in respect of the pipeline.
The NEB apologises for any confusion that may have resulted due to the inadvertent web posting.
