Tritech International Ltd (Tritech) – a Moog Inc. company – is celebrating the successful launch of its latest multibeam sonar, the Gemini 720ik.
The sonar has been developed specifically for shallow water operations with low power consumption and compressed high intensity radar pulse (CHIRP) processing, which allows for greater image definition at longer range. The small, compact unit is much lighter than the Gemini 720is, making it ideal for smaller ROVs.
The Gemini 720ik allows for real time target tracking capabilities, utilising SeeByte’s advanced tracking analytics. The integrated software allows users to easily distinguish and track objects within a wide 120 degree view.
Tritech’s Gemini multibeam sonar technology interfaces with its pipelay monitoring software.
Scott McLay, Sales Director at Tritech, said: “It has been fantastic to see such a positive reaction to our new Gemini 720ik with orders already confirmed within the first month of its launch.”
“Despite difficult market conditions, Tritech continues to invest in its research and development to ensure we are at the forefront of underwater innovation. The Gemini 720ik is just one example of our efforts, with more developments in the pipeline for 2017,” adds McLay.
