Axalta reveals new addition to internal pipe coatings collection

Axalta Coating Systems is pleased to introduce its latest addition to the corrosion resistant internal pipe coatings line from the Nap-Gard® Functional Coatings collection.
Nap-Gard 7-0015 Tan Internal FBE is a thermosetting epoxy powder designed to pass the Saudi Aramco 09-SAMSS-091 (2011) specification.
“Axalta is excited to bring an additional product to its internal pipe coatings line,” said Meghan Hodge, Axalta Global Product Marketing Manager, Functional Coatings. “Nap-Gard 7-0015 will be a good option for customers who need a flexible coating that provides corrosion protection in severe downhole environments up to 105°C (221°F).”
Today's environments explored by oil and gas operators have higher temperatures and concentrations of H2S, CO2 and other gas contaminants. These conditions require the use of significantly more expensive metal chrome alloys to avoid corrosion and failure. Axalta’s new generation of pipe coatings provide a cost-effective alternative to protecting the internal diameter of pipelines. Nap-Gard 7-0015 delivers high adhesion properties to effectively protect pipelines subject to H2S, CO2 and CH4 exposure.
