Michels has announced that Sean Nicholson has been promoted to the company’s Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). In this new role, Nicholson will use his 20 years of industry experience to execute a comprehensive, unified HSE programme throughout Michels’ operations across the US and Canada.
Nicholson was previously Michels’ Director of HSE for 10 years. During this time, he established programmes to support Michels’ top-down commitment to a culture where the safety of people, property and the environment is the prime objective.
He will now expand the programmes he and his team developed to support pipeline construction operations, customer needs and governmental regulations across the company’s expansive utility and infrastructure construction operations.
Nicholson also will continue his efforts to improve the safety culture across the energy and construction industry. Among other industry associations, he is actively involved in The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America Foundation, with a long history of developing best practices and presenting at conferences and meetings.
