Tundra Energy Marketing Limited (TEML), has announced that as of 26 June, 2019, it will be changing its name to Kingston Midstream to better articulate the company’s current position in the industry following multiple acquisitions, rapid expansion and plans for future growth. The new name and brand were presented at an employee event at the Calgary head office by President and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Hand.

“In 2011, TEML was founded as an independent subsidiary of James Richardson & Sons, Limited’s oil and gas exploration and production division,” said Jim Hand. “As the company has grown significantly and now services a broader customer base; we believe the time is right for an evolution of its brand identity.”

In attendance at the announcement was Hartley T. Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of James Richardson & Sons, Limited (JRSL), the Winnipeg-based parent company to Kingston Midstream. JRSL, originally founded in 1857, is a private, family-owned and operated corporation actively involved in global agriculture and food processing, financial services and real estate investment, as well as energy exploration, transportation and marketing.

“The name Kingston Midstream is a reference to the roots of James Richardson & Sons, Limited 162 years ago, which started as a small grain merchandising operation in Kingston, Ontario,” said Hartley Richardson. “Kingston is a name that serves as a reminder of the values and ambitions we continue to hold as an organisation and a reflection of our long history of safely moving Canada’s most precious resources.”

With corporate headquarters in Calgary, Alberta and operations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Kingston Midstream transports hydrocarbons through an integrated network of gathering pipelines, storage tanks, rail and truck terminals. This network has been developed through a series of acquisitions in the company’s history, including the 2016 purchase of the South East Saskatchewan Pipeline System from Enbridge Income Fund.

Kingston Midstream is wholly-owned subsidiary of James Richardson & Sons, Limited.
