Bukom Island pipeline mooring contract awarded

Leighton Offshore, in consortium with Boskalis Offshore, has been awarded a transportation, installation and dredging contract by Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd to replace part of the single point mooring (SPM) 48 in. subsea pipeline. The project is located near Bukom Island, Singapore and is part of Shell’s planned maintenance.

In a combined statement, Leighton Offshore CEO Mr Boyd Merrett and Boskalis Regional Director, Mr Neil Haworth, said “We are pleased to be a part of this project with a world class client like Shell. As with all projects, safety, environment, stakeholder and local authority liaison is paramount. These are all core values and strengths of Leighton and Boskalis and the consortium is united to deliver this important project in line with our values and commitment”.

Work will commence immediately on engineering, planning and procurement. The project scope includes cleaning of the existing SPM buoy, PLEM, hoses and pipeline; transportation and removal; dredging; and installation. The project will be delivered while adhering to stringent safety standards and environmental considerations.
