The American Welding Society (AWS) has released AWS A3.0M/A3.0:2025 – Standard Welding Terms and Definitions Including Terms for Additive Manufacturing, Adhesive Bonding, Brazing, Soldering, Thermal Cutting, Thermal Spraying, and Nondestructive Examination (AWS A3.0M/A3.0:2025), the latest edition of the industry’s most comprehensive welding terminology reference. This reference provides updated definitions and terminology used across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, aerospace, automotive, education, and more.
As welding technology evolves, so does its nomenclature. AWS A3.0M/A3.0:2025 introduces new terms for additive manufacturing and nondestructive examination, ensuring professionals have the most up-to-date terminology to support their work.
