Royal Dutch Shell said on Monday that is had re-opened a key oil pipeline in Nigeria that had been shut since late November 2015.
The Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP), which carries Bonny Light crude oil to the export terminal had re-opened "in recent days," a Shell spokeswoman confirmed.
The pipeline remained closed while the company investigated an incident on 22 November in which four contractors died during an operation to remove crude oil theft points.
Almost continuous disruption from theft, sabotage and technical difficulties has resulted in Africa’s largest oil producer coming close to losing its crown.
