Construction progress of the receiving terminal for the TurkStream offshore gas pipeline has reached 95%. All works are in line with the schedule. First gas is expected to flow by the end of 2019.

Direct and indirect employment related to the construction activities is currently over 1700. Approximately 100 of the workers have been recruited locally.

The TurkStream receiving terminal is realised near the town of Kiyikoy in the Turkish Thrace region. When operational, the receiving terminal will measure gas flow, temperature, pressure and composition, before the gas is fed into the Turkish gas grid.

TurkStream will have the capacity to transit 31.5 billion m3/yr of gas, which is equal to the energy demand of 15 million homes.
