Air drained from EUGAL pipes

World Pipelines,

The first pipeline of the European Gas Connection Line (EUGAL) is already welded in the ground. Before commissioning, the fully welded pipe is subjected to numerous tests. During the period from Monday 4 November 2019 until Wednesday 6 November 2019, excess air will be drained at the shut-off stations along the EUGAL to prepare further inspections. The process is expected to take one to two hours each and may be associated with noise emissions.

The blowing out of the air is a routine procedure before commissioning the EUGAL. The line is still filled only with air.
