According to news sources, an oil leak in one of state-owned Saudi Aramco’s oil pipelines has resulted in the death of a contractor and injuries to three other workers.
According to tweets posted by the company, the leak occurred 37 miles southwest of the company's main Dharan compound, in the eastern Saudi Arabian city of Abqaiq.
UPI reported the company as stating that two of the injured contractors have been discharged from a hospital, while one Aramco employee remains in stable condition.
An emergency response team has managed to contain the leak and the company plans to commence a thorough investigation of the accident. As of yet, no details have been given regarding how the contractor died.
