Hydratight has been recognised as one of an elite group of finalists for this year’s Engineering Construction Industry Board (ECITB) Training and Development Awards.
The company has been shortlisted, for the second year running in the category for Approved Training Provider of the Year which is an award that recognises exceptional ECITB approved training providers with a proven track record in delivering quality training and creating a positive impact with learners, employers and clients.
The awards celebrate the achievements and successes of individuals, companies and training providers in the engineering construction industry. Winners across the six award categories will be announced at a gala celebration dinner on 4 June 2015 at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.
Hydratight has worked with the ECITB and industry for more than 20 years to deliver specialist bolting training programmes. Course participants have included operators, contractors and Hydratight’s own employees, who have all been educated on increased safety awareness and competence in the area of mechanical joint integrity.
“Hydratight was the first ECITB provider to gain international approval to deliver and expand the Mechanical Joint Integrity programme outside of the UK via our Middle East training centres and more than 4000 participants have attended our ECITB MJI programme since 2011,” said Jason Barnard, Technical Competency Leader at Hydratight.

Being recognised as a finalist validates our dedication to the development of all individuals involved in mechanical joint integrity and particularly those expected to undertake these activities in the workplace by elevating their training, knowledge and safety performance.”
Hydratight has also worked closely as subject matter experts to the ECITB, contributing to the further development of training standards in on-site machining, subsea mechanical joint integrity and recent course revision to include content from the ASME PCC-1 and EN1591-4 international bolting qualification guidelines.
