Keystone XL decision still pending

For over six years the White House has appointed questions regarding the US$8 billion TransCanada Keystone XL Pipeline project to the State Department.

Under Bush’s presidency, it was decided that a presidential permit was required for oil pipeline border-crossing.

As a result, President Obama has used Bush’s order as the reason for why the pipeline decision is being delayed for longer than the average decision time of 479 days.

Keystone XL permit hearing extended

TransCanada’s hearing regarding permits for the Keystone XL pipeline construction through South Dakota has been extended due to uncertainties.
