Pipelaying concluded on POGC’s platform 14A

Pars Oil and Gas Company’s (POGC) director of development plans for phase 14 has announced that its platform 14A pipelaying project finished with 32 in. pipelines and 4.5 in. glycol injection with the length of 103 km.

Pointing to finalisation of drilling 11 wells of the platform 14C, Hamid Reza Masoudi said that pipelaying operation will begin to connect this satellite platform to the platform 14A within the next 10 days and in a favourable weather conditions.

Masoudi announced that drilling 11 wells of the platform 14A will be finished by mid June. He added that with the end of aforementioned operation, pipelaying activities in order to extract the gas equivalent to one standard phase will be fulfilled from the phase 14.

Pointing to beginning of complementary and hydrotesting operation from this platform to onshore, Masoudi said: “It is anticipated that complementary operations of the platform 14A’s pipeline would be finalised by the end of current year.”

According to Masoudi, finalising wells’ drilling and the platform’s pipelines, gas productions are begun with the capacity of 14.2 million m3 at the end of 2017.

The platforms 14A and 14B have shown 91% and 80% progress, respectively, and they are in the final stage of construction at ISOICO yard in Bandar Abass.

The platform 14A will reach to the utmost progress within the next two months and it will be loaded to install as soon as drilling operation are completed. It has been planned to supply the required good for the platform 14B so that we expect this platform to reach to an acceptable progress by the end of July.
