Martijn Van Driel

Head of Engineering, TurkStream

Mr. Van Driel has 25 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Following several engineering assignments on a wide variety of offshore pipelines and terminals, he coordinated and supervised some of the most challenging offshore pipeline projects in recent history. This includes the major offshore gas infrastructure projects in Europe as Blue Stream, Medgaz, Galsi, IGI Poseidon, Nord Stream, South Stream and TurkStream.

From 2010, he has been responsible for management of all engineering phases of the South Stream project. At the project’s transition to TurkStream, he became responsible for all engineering activities associated with the project, from initial conception through to first gas in January 2020, and subsequent handover to operations.
